Flight School Preparation

My full on ground school starts November 3rd and after a few months of intense studying I'll be taking the FAA Private Pilot (Single Engine Land) test for my license (I hope). Excited is an understatement.

Also, I've been logging a lot of flight sim time on a sim program that was suggested by a Naval pilot (and a class I am going to be taking next semester requires this book).  The simulator program is a cool little deal because it logs everything from your altitude and speed, to your destination, flight plan, and where you are during the progression of your flight. It also archives every flight you take on the network. An example of a flight I did the other day from Baltimore Washington Intl (KBWI) to Toronto Intl (CYYZ) can be found HERE.

I'll leave you with a video of a Twin Otter landing on Runway 28 at St Barths (TFFJ). I thought the pilot did a good job because this is a bit of a complicated landing. And by a bit, I mean that the only way you're allowed to land on Runway 28 at TFFJ is during the day in clear conditions with light wind and you've been endorsed. An example of a pilot crashing his land on the same runway can be found HERE.
