Problems Plague the B787

Wikipedia references the Boeing 787 Dreamliner as "a long-range, mid-size wide-body, twin-engine jet airliner developed by Boeing Commercial Airplanes. Its variants seat 210 to 290 passengers. Boeing states that it is the company's most fuel-efficient airliner and the world's first major airliner to use composite materials for most of its construction. According to Boeing, the 787 consumes 20% less fuel than the similarly-sized 767. Its distinguishing features include a four-panel windshield, noise-reducing chevrons on its engine nacelles, and a smoother nose contour. The 787 shares a common type rating with the larger 777 twin-jet, allowing qualified pilots to operate both models, due to related design features".

Unfortunately for Boeing, the Dreamliner has been plagued with issues concerning a variety of its systems and functions. Below is a picture detailing it's recent problems.

Unfortunately this is something that Boeing direly needs to work out. I'm a huge fan of Boeing products and manufacturing, however with the Boeing 787 being the projected "future of Boeing", working out these issues and ensuring a quality product might just been crucial to the future success of the company. Good luck Boeing!

"A joke told repeatedly at aviation industry conferences puts a man and a dog in an airplane. The dog is there to bite the pilot if the man so much as tries to touch the controls; the pilot's one remaining job is to feed the dog. Many aviation veterans have heard the joke so many times that is possible to tell those in the audience new to the industry by their laughter." - Gary Stix
