Sunday Flight for Fun

It's not often that I have the time or money to spend on a flight with no training purposes. After all, aviation is one of the more expensive hobbies that a person can have and it is in a pilots best interest to get the most out of every flight. Still, with my last twenty or so flights all flown mostly for the purpose of instrument training and all but the last five of those flights taking place in the spring, I decided it would be nice to practice a few basic maneuvers with, Kazimierz Dyduch, a pilot buddy of mine. It was a nice Sunday so we decided that he would fly from Lewis (KLOT) to our west practice area, he would perform some basic maneuvers, then land at the Morris Airport (C09), and I would fly the reverse leg. Below are some videos taken during the flight and I apologize for the quality in advance as they were taken on a cell phone.

It's nice to think that the flight above started with a simple conversation that amounted to Kazimierz saying: "Let's go flying, Joe... because we can". Those words really do remind me of how fortunate I am.

Blue skies and soft landings.
